Honoring Our Veterans

This Veterans Day, we proudly recognize and thank the members of our National Health Care Associates family—both employees and residents— who have served in the military. Your courage, dedication, and selfless service continue to inspire us all.

At National, we see those same values, discipline, teamwork, and compassion, reflected in the care you provide and the strength you bring to our communities every day.

To all who have served and continue to serve through your actions, kindness, and leadership—we salute you.

Thank you for your service and for the lasting impact you make in our centers and beyond.

Together, We Walked for a World Without Alzheimer’s

During the month of October, every one of our Connecticut Centers proudly joined the Walk to End Alzheimer’s, with team members representing at seven walks across the state. Our dedicated teams came together with one goal — to honor those living with Alzheimer’s and to help find a cure.

We’re incredibly proud to share that together, we raised over $26,000 (and counting!) with 123 participants across our Connecticut Centers. Every dollar raised helps fund critical Alzheimer’s research, care, and support programs.

A heartfelt thank-you to every team, every walker, and every donor who helped make this impact possible. Your compassion and dedication truly make a difference.

Every 40 seconds, someone in the U.S. experiences a stroke—and it can happen anywhere. That’s why recognizing the warning signs and acting quickly is so important.

Remember B.E. F.A.S.T.—the signs of a stroke:
-Balance Unsteady
-Eyesight Changes
-Face Drooping
-Arm Weakness
-Speech Difficulty
-Time to call 911

The sooner a stroke is treated, the better the chances for recovery. Patients who receive clot-busting medication or stent procedures within the first critical minutes are three times more likely to recover with little or no disability.

Stroke is largely treatable—but only if we act fast. Learn the signs, share the knowledge, and be prepared.
