What Does It Mean to Become a Reiki Master?

Becoming a Reiki Master isn’t about reaching the top of a ladder. It actually has very little to do with hierarchy at all.

Reiki mastery is about deepening your relationship with the energy - and allowing it to deepen your relationship with yourself.

It’s about moving from practicing Reiki to truly embodying it. Allowing it to shape how you listen, how you hold space, how you walk through the world.

For many practitioners, there comes a moment when Reiki stops feeling like something they DO and begins to feel like something they’re meant to LIVE.

It's a quiet calling. Something you feel in your heart.

That is the spirit of Reiki Master training.

Not perfection, not performance, not arriving anywhere. But a deeper devotion to the practice, a greater understanding of the unconditional love and compassion that Reiki represents, and a choice to fully embody the healing presence we each bring to this world.

My next Reiki Master Training takes place April 10-12.

I will often suggest to a client that they engage in a free writing or journaling practice - even just temporarily - especially when they are navigating tricky moments or periods of deep transformation.

When we put our emotions, thoughts, and beliefs on paper, they no longer have to be swirling around our heads or trapped inside of our bodies.

On top of that, it is often quite surprising (and revelatory) what comes out when we give ourselves permission to write without censorship.

It has certainly been a game changer for me over the years.

If you feel like you are a slave to your own thoughts or just feeling stuck, I highly recommend you give it a try.

I learn something from every group I teach… and this weekend’s Reiki Level I was no exception. ✨

These four beautiful souls walked in as strangers - and within moments, I watched them lean into genuine authenticity and acceptance.

There was no posturing.
No comparison.
No judgment.

Just space.

Space for each woman to be exactly who she is.

And when judgment falls away, something profound happens: nervous systems soften, guards drop, and real healing begins.

They gave one another (and themselves) permission to show up fully and honestly.

This is the heart of Reiki: creating a field where truth and tenderness can coexist.

So grateful for each of you and your open hearts. 💗
