Resident of the Month: Jane Lamb

Jane was born in Louisiana but grew up in Luverne, AL. She attended Auburn University before switching to Southern College of Optometry to follow in her father's footsteps. When her father passed away, she took over his practice—and loved the career she chose. She says she never had a bad day in her career! Goal-oriented Jane even took up a part-time practice in Lowndes, AL, and proudly says that working hard and long allowed her to buy her first Jaguar!

Jane married the love of her life, Roy, also an optometrist, and together they raised two wonderful children. She loves living at The Reserve, where she has developed lifelong friendships with her neighbors and feels cherished by our staff!

"What a wonderful evening at Bourbon & Barrels: A Tasting Affair! Guests enjoyed sampling local spirits, wines, and brews from Roy Bean Spirits, Southern Grove Vineyards, and The Fairhope Brewery—perfectly paired with delicious bites and desserts.

Lively bluegrass music and great company made for a fun, memorable night at The Reserve at Fairhope. We loved sharing this special evening with everyone!"

We were honored to celebrate twelve of our residents at our Quilt of Valor Ceremony. Each quilt is handmade to recognize and bring comfort to those who have served our country, a mission started by Catherine Roberts in 2003 while her son was deployed in Iraq.

It was a meaningful afternoon, honoring the bravery and dedication of those who have served.
