We at ESIM hope everyone has been safe during and after Hurricane Sally. As of Monday 9/21/2020 we have power, are open and seeing patients from 8:30AM until 5PM. Even though we have power our internet is spotty at best, our computers and more importantly our phones are internet based. Because of this we may not be able to personally answer your call. However, if you leave a message for either the receptionist or nurse we will receive it and return your call as quickly as we can. Please if you have a question concerning an appointment or scheduled procedure leave a message with the receptionist. Questions concerning medication should be directed to the nurse line. All of us at ESIM (including Dude and Darlin) thank you for your patience during these stressful times.

I’d like to thank everyone for their patience. I’ve been out recovering from back surgery and helping with some family issues. I will be back in the office on Monday March 23rd.

As many of you know, Dr. Snellgrove is a graduate of the University of Tennessee Medical School. He is also an avid Lady Vols basketball fan. This week, we will be hanging the UT Lady Vols flag in our waiting room, in memory of Pat Summitt, who passed away this morning.

Summitt was the head coach of the Lay Vols basketball program for 38 years before retiring in 2012. She is the winningest coach, male or female, in NCAA history. She has left a legacy not only in the world of sports, but for women as well.

You will be missed, Coach Summitt!

Dr. Snellgrove is constantly "prescribing" a healthy diet and exercise to patients. Here are three (of many) great reasons why Dr. Snellgove and Christine both believe exercise is vital to your overall health.

1) It increases your mental fitness, not only your physical fitness.
2) It reduces stress.
3) It helps you age well.

Read the article to find out more about how exercise benefits you in these three ways. Then, let's get out and get more active!

There's no denying that exercise benefits the body and the brain. Nerd out on all the science, from boosted brain power to reduced stress. Then hit the gym!
