Multi-agency effort underway at Dorie Miller Park to support COVID-19 testing in our community. Greenbrier County Health Department, GC HS EM, Greater Greenbrier Long-Term Recovery Committee, St. James Episcopal Church, West Virginia National Guard.

Free testing today until 4pm, and tomorrow (June 13) from 9am-4pm.

Community testing for COVID-19 will be held today and tomorrow, June 12th and 13th, from 9 AM — 4 PM at Dorie Miller Park in Lewisburg. No appointment necessary. The flow of traffic is reversed — folks are asked to enter by the concession stand/Public Works, register at the blue tent, and then proceed to the pavilion for testing. There are no out of pocket expenses and insurance will not be billed.

When healthcare is 'mobile' an outlet for power becomes a luxury. Thanks to our COVID19 relief grant from United Way of the Greenbrier Valley and the Greenbrier Valley Community Foundation, we have been able to acquire more equipment for mobile health needs. Our most recent purchase was a Goal Zero power station that will provide clean, quiet power for healthcare providers who might be out of reach of an outlet and find their electronics low on juice. One of our power stations came in handy yesterday when we had technical difficulties with the gas generator when a field clinic was set up in Rainelle. Even more, with the right accessories the power station can easily become a battery backup for the Mobile Health Unit systems.

On site for supporting community COVID19 testing. We've got some nice tents, but without our local healthcare providers on the front lines, they are nothing more than just that. Nice tents. It's the people who make the difference. Greenbrier County Health Department

Special thanks to the Greenbrier County Health Department and the Center for Rural & Community Health at West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine for purchasing and donating EZUP Instant Shelters Medical "Cubes" to the Mobile Health Unit! These will allow for even greater versatility for health providers utilizing Mobile Health Unit resources. Medical Cubes were already compatible with our existing shelters, and offer increased privacy, weather protection, and climate control for patients and clinicians.
