Damsel working for good!

Damsel in Defense is honored to support Gracehaven, in central Ohio, as our Choice Charity this July. Gracehaven is educating teens in their surrounding communities about the reality and risk of minors being s*x trafficked. They also have a wonderful facility offering therapy for those who have been victims and are on the road to recovery. Along with their local and government partners, Gracehaven trains social workers, teachers, and first responders how to recognize and help victims they may encounter. I just felt that I should introduce you all to Damsel in Defense.It is not a well known company in these parts, it was started by two friends who were appalled by the statistics concerning the safety of women and decided to do something to empower women to feel safe and be able to protect themselves. The company has made great strides in combatting s*x trafficking(opening houses for rescued women and children in Cambodia) and choosing a worthy charity each month that receives a percentage of sales of certain products. The most recent achievement honoring Damsel was the winning of a Direct Selling Association "Vision for Tomorrow" award for the SAFE Hearts product Line (Share Awareness For Family Empowerment)

This has been a great experience for me- taking me out of my comfort zone and letting me interact with some truly awesome people and to meet some new people.

The products I sell are not expensive when you consider that they could save you from being s*xually assaulted, or your best friend or your mom! The most expensive item I carry is a stun gun for $80 - in addition to a flashlight and stun guns - it has a built in alarm and charger! The value is certain;y there for the price.

I do empower hours and they are just that - one hour of you and your friends time. I speak for about 20 minutes about situational awareness and give you some tips on how to become a hard target, also showing some of the great Damsel lines.The rest of the hour is for questions and ordering. You don't have to have an elaborate "spread" Drinks and cookies are fine.

I will be Damseling at the Marion County Relay for Life tonight. Come and support the cause and the survivors. I have a tremendous tower of Tupperware basket and an AWESOME Damsel in Defense Basket all in Purple! I will also be offering safety tips and products to keep you and your family safe in this crazy world! The Relay starts at 6pm when the survivors take their victory lap - that is the most emotional and awe inspiring site next to the lighting of the luninaries at dark. Come and show your support!
