Happy Halloween! Ms. Koren won the office contest of two for originality with her creative costume! I’ve got a free roll-on Biofreeze for the first person to tell me what her costume is and mine correctly! (Hint: it was a Super busy day at Optimal Health, but we Killed it!!! 🥳😎)

On a sidenote, my last recommendation for breast cancer awareness month is to use an all natural, paraben free and ALUMINUM free deodorant! These ingredients have been linked to increased risk of breast cancer! Here’s an example of one that I use that works well and smells nice!

As breast cancer awareness month is coming to an end, one more recommendation I have for you is to evaluate your morning coffee routine!

My recommendations: organic coffee or organic mushroom "coffee" replacement like Mud Water and an all-natural creamer!

Coffee can be loaded with pesticides and other toxins. Therefore, I have decided to do my very best to do organic coffee whenever possible. The Rainforest Blend beans are from our local coffee shop in Jackson, Smokin’ Java and I have two other sources that I am currently using pictured here along with my preferred coffee creamer, which contains only four ingredients of skim milk, cream, sugar, and natural flavors! Make sure your creamer is CARRAGEENAN FREE because those emulsifiers are proven to be a carcinogen and linked to increased risk of breast cancer!

Sunscreen can contribute to cancer risk! See the link for a list of potentially toxic ingredients. I have discontinue using standard sunscreen and use a mineral based sunscreen that protects much better from UVB and UVA rays, is safer for my skin and is formulated with less ingredients and more natural ingredients and is safer for our oceans and reefs!

Here is another thing I would like to share that I have changed in my household products to reduce exposure to toxic chemicals and estrogen-mimicking ingredients.

Hairspray can be potentially carcinogenic. I have switched to primarily using the organic natural non-toxic Innersence hairspray pictured here, a non-aerosol (aerosols are potentially more toxic by the nature of the propellants and the diffusion in the air, causing you to inhale hairspray) to be extremely effective at holding curl, does not dry out my hair and has a very nice light scent!

Your laundry detergent can contribute to cancer risk! Who knew! As promised, here’s one of the things I’ve done in our household to get rid of toxic cancer causing estrogen mimicing chemicals in my life since having breast cancer and malignant melanoma! I no longer buy liquid laundry detergent and have discovered a nontoxic laundry sheet and dryer sheet from Clean People.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month so it was time to do a little bit of pink again!

As a four-year survivor of breast cancer myself, I just want to remind all of you to do your self exams! The statistics on breast cancer in males is alarmingly high as well and one in every eight women will get a diagnosis of breast cancer in their lifetime! This is partially due to all of the pseudo-estrogen contaminants in our environment, products, plastics and foods, so I’m talking to you men as well!

We all say YES when asked by our providers but be honest with yourself. Are you REALLY checking? This is how I found mine! Know what feels normal and what does not feel normal for you.

I will be sharing some ways in which I have personally cleaned up or OUT some of the estrogen mimicing toxic products in my life in the last four years in coming days so stay tuned for more.
