Congratulations to Marlys, Registered Nurse at Mayo Clinic Health System in Fairmont, on receiving The DAISY Award. Marlys went above and beyond to coordinate a complex patient transport, personally making calls, organizing details, conducting a run-through, and ensuring clear communication with staff, leadership, and the patient every step of the way. Her thoughtful planning created a smooth, reassuring, and positive discharge experience during a challenging situation.

Marlys’ compassion, leadership, and genuine heart shine in all she does. In addition to her role at MCHS–Fairmont, she also faithfully serves on our board, extending her commitment to our organization beyond the bedside. We are truly blessed to have her dedication, kindness, and leadership.

The Erma Rosen Nursing Scholarship is now open for 2026 applications!

This scholarship is available to students who will be enrolled full-time and entering the final year of one of the following accredited programs:
✔️ Four-year Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
✔️ Three-year accelerated BSN program

✨ Preference is given to students who graduated from a high school in Martin, Faribault, or Jackson County, or surrounding areas.

📅 Application deadline: April 15

The FCH Foundation’s transportation grant to CREST helped strengthen health and wellness in our community by ensuring access to reliable transportation for individuals who otherwise lack it. Through this support, participants are able to attend critical medical appointments and remain connected to their care.

In 2024, the program provided 216 rides to Mayo Clinic facilities in Fairmont, Mankato, Rochester, and St. James. Beyond medical care, the transportation assistance also enabled individuals to engage in social and community activities, enhancing independence and overall quality of life for those unable to drive or afford other transportation options.

For individuals experiencing hair loss or thinning as a result of treatment, these hats help keep their heads warm while offering comfort, coverage, and a boost in confidence during a challenging time.
