Please join us in extending the warmest welcome to Dr. Nicholas Whitesides, the newest addition to our Total Eyewear team!

Dr. Nicholas Whitesides is originally from Barnhart, Missouri, and earned a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL) College of Optometry.

Passionate about eye care, Dr. Whitesides has a particular interest in both the management of ocular disease and contact lenses.

He also spent time as the Student Liaison to the Missouri Optometry Association (MOA) Executive Board, where he represented the interests of optometry at professional meetings across the state, advocating for policies and initiatives that benefit both practitioners and patient care.

Dr. Whitesides also served as a professional advocate, delivering testimony before Missouri state House and Senate committees in support of optometric scope of practice expansion legislation.

Outside of the clinic, Dr. Whitesides enjoys staying active both at the gym and running, playing chess, and spending quality time with friends and family. He is also a member of the St. Louis Chess Club.

We’re thrilled to have Dr. Whitesides join the Total Eyewear family, and we know you’re going to love him, too!
