💚 Sunday views from the studio 💚

Sunlight spilling across the floor. Mats side by side. Familiar faces, steady breath.
These quiet Sunday moments remind us that this space is more than a studio—it’s a community.

Here, we don’t have to carry everything alone. We show up as we are, holding space for one another through the heavy moments and the hopeful ones. Together, we learn how to transform grief into resilience—how to move, breathe, and soften in ways that allow healing to happen.

This is where we heal, grow, and thrive together. One practice, one breath, one day at a time. 🌿

In the rhythm of busy schedules, full calendars, and constant giving, this is your reminder to pause.
To breathe.
To show up for you.

Yoga teaches us Svadhyaya—the practice of self-study. It’s the gentle act of turning inward, noticing what you need, and honoring it without judgment. When you carve out time for yourself—whether it’s stepping onto your mat, resting, or simply taking a mindful breath—you’re practicing deep self-awareness and care.

Showing up for yourself isn’t selfish.
It’s necessary.
It’s how you stay connected, grounded, and whole.

This month of self love, let your practice be a reminder:
✨ You are worthy of your own time
✨ Your presence matters
✨ Consistency with yourself builds trust and resilience

We’re here to support you as you continue choosing you.

💚 SELF LOVE CLUB 💚

We’re back for another year of Self Love Club at Hope Yoga, and this one is all about showing up for you!

Self-love isn’t just bubble baths and rest days—it’s the quiet commitment to return to yourself again and again. It’s choosing to show up on the days you feel strong and the days you don’t. Every time you step onto your mat, you’re reinforcing trust, consistency, and care for yourself.

If you’re interested in practicing 3 times a week or 12 times total during the month of February, this is for you ✨

Each time you come into the studio, you’ll keep track of your visits. At the end of the month, you’ll be entered to win one of our Self-Care Swag Bags or a Month of Unlimited Yoga.

Let February be a month where you choose yourself—not perfectly, but intentionally. We’ll be here to support you every step (and breath) of the way 💚

A reminder that we are not just moving through the world—we are in relationship with it. Each breath, each choice, each small act of awareness leaves an imprint.

Yoga teaches us that change doesn’t always come from force, but from presence. When we soften, notice, and respond with intention, we participate in shaping what comes next.

You don’t have to carry the world as it is.
You get to meet it.
You get to influence it.
Starting right where you are. ✨

This month, we’re leaning into practices that invite you to slow down, soften, and turn toward yourself with compassion. Self-love isn’t about perfection or doing more—it’s about listening, honoring where you are, and choosing care again and again.

All classes are FREE tomorrow, Friday, January 30th 🤍

At Hope Yoga, we believe in the inherent dignity of all people and in creating spaces where care, connection, and resilience can grow — especially in times of fear or uncertainty.

In light of recent events, we know many are carrying grief, fear, and uncertainty. We’re staying open to offer a space to move, breathe, and be together in community.

We’ll also be collecting optional monetary donations for Building Hope in the City, an organization that supports refugees and immigrants through community connection, mentorship, employment support, and immigration services.

🧺 Donation box at the front desk through Sunday evening
💻 Direct online donations also welcome
✨ Donations are never required — your presence is enough

At Hope Yoga, our mission is to create spaces where people feel supported and connected, especially in hard moments.

Our practice reminds us that none of us exist in isolation, and that caring for one another is part of how we live yoga off the mat.

Come as you are. Move if you need to. Rest if you need to. Breathe together. 🙏🏻💚

In this space, we move together.
Breath by breath. Moment by moment.

At Hope Yoga, our mission is to transform grief into resilience — creating space where healing can unfold and no one has to carry it alone. Through movement, breath, and community, we remember that even in the midst of loss, growth is possible.

Here, we heal together.
We grow together.
And we learn how to thrive — together.

Just arrive as you are. You belong.

Salabhasana- Locust Pose🦗

A quiet but powerful backbend, Salabhasana reminds us that strength doesn’t always look big or dramatic—it often begins low, steady, and intentional.

Benefits:
✨Strengthens the back body (spine, glutes, hamstrings)
✨Improves posture by countering long hours of sitting
✨Stimulates the nervous system and builds energetic lift
✨Helps cultivate confidence and resilience from the inside out

How to Practice:
• Lie prone (on your stomach) on your mat with legs long and arms alongside your body.
• On an inhale, engage the legs, gently lift the heart-space, arms, and legs off the mat.
• Keep the back of the neck long and the gaze slightly forward or down.
• Breathe steadily, then release with control.

Options & Variations:
• Keep hands on the mat or fingertips down for support
• Lift just the heart-space or just the legs for a gentler version
• Bend the elbows and interlace fingers behind the back to open the heart
• Place a blanket under the pelvis for extra grounding
• Take a “baby locust” and focus more on length than height

Salabhasana teaches us to rise with awareness—rooting down before we lift up. ✨

Practice meeting your edge with patience and breath. 💚

01/26/2026

In yoga philosophy, Dvesha is the tendency to push away what feels uncomfortable. It’s one of the Kleshas — the mental afflictions that cloud our perception and create suffering. The Kleshas describe the patterns that keep us stuck in reaction rather than awareness.

When a storm arrives, Dvesha often shows up as resistance: I don’t want this. This shouldn’t be happening. But this quote invites a different response — what if the discomfort isn’t here to harm us, but to reveal what needs to be cleared?

Yoga teaches that the Kleshas don’t disappear by force. They soften through presence. Through breath, movement, and mindfulness, we learn to notice aversion without being ruled by it. In that awareness, space opens — and the path becomes clearer.

May your practice help you meet life with a little less resistance and a little more understanding. 💚
