Good sleep doesn’t just happen — healthy habits can make a big difference.

Practicing good sleep hygiene can help improve both the quality and consistency of your sleep.

Try these tips to improve your sleep routine:

• Keep a consistent bedtime and wake-up schedule
• Limit screen time before bed
• Create a quiet, comfortable sleep environment
• Avoid caffeine and heavy meals late in the evening
• Stay physically active during the day

Small changes in your routine can lead to better sleep and better overall health.

Getting enough sleep is one of the most important things you can do for your health.

Quality sleep supports many essential functions in the body, including heart health, immune system strength, and mental well-being.

Adults generally need 7–9 hours of sleep each night to stay healthy.

Benefits of good sleep include:

• Improved concentration and memory
• Better mood and emotional balance
• Reduced risk of chronic conditions
• More energy throughout the day

With Daylight Savings changes, it’s a great time to take a closer look at your sleep habits and make small changes that can improve your overall health.

Some heart and vascular conditions don’t come with warning signs.

An abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is often silent — but early detection through screening can save lives.

Fairview Regional Medical Center offers AAA screening right here at home, making preventive care accessible and convenient.

If you’re 65+ or have a history of smoking or vascular disease, talk to your provider about whether screening is right for you.

Prevention matters. And we’re here to help. ❤️

Heart-Healthy Pregnancies Start with Preventive Care ❤️

Pregnancy places extra demands on your heart — and taking care of your heart is an important part of taking care of your baby.

Managing blood pressure, staying active, eating heart-healthy foods, and keeping regular prenatal appointments can help reduce risks during pregnancy and beyond.

At FRMC, we’re here to support expecting moms every step of the way — from preventive clinic care and routine monitoring, to emergency services when needed, and recovery support close to home.

If you’re pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or recently postpartum, talk with your healthcare provider about your heart health. Early care helps protect both mom and baby. 💗

We're all born with specific reflexes, but if those reflexes dominate a child's movements then they may have difficulty participating at school or home. This could mean that a child has a hard time focusing, reading or sitting still for long periods. Reflex integration is a way that our Occupational Therapy Team can work on these skills through games and play.

Think your child may benefit from Occupational Therapy? Call us today at 580-227-1325.
