𝗛𝗢𝗣𝗘 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗱!

Our new mobile medical unit - HOPE on Wheels: Health Outreach, Prevention and Education - arrived in Kansas City last week. Alongside the vice chancellor and director of The University of Kansas Cancer Center, Dr. Roy Jensen, MCA staff celebrated HOPE's arrival at an event with the Kansas Masonic Foundation and the Kansas Masons in Manhattan on Friday morning.

Because of the generous support from the Kansas Masonic Foundation for its purchase and the Cinelli Family Foundation’s generous commitment to the vehicle’s operations, this mobile medical unit will dramatically expand our ability to reach people where they live.

The vehicle is more than a cancer screening clinic on wheels. As its name says, it’s HOPE on wheels, delivering access and the power of early detection to communities that need it most. It helps ensure that no matter where someone lives, they have the chance to catch cancer early, when it's most treatable.

Join our MCA member site LMH Health today for this important discussion around colon cancer.

The statistics are sobering. In the United States, colon cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in men and the fourth in women. And while the rate has been dropping in older adults, it's on the rise for people under age 55.

Dr. Alka Hudson, a gastroenterologist at LMH Health, joins Gray Anatomy this month to talk about colon cancer and ways to recognize, treat and combat this disease.

✅ When: March 24 at 4 p.m.
✅ Where: Online event via Zoom
✅ Register: https://bit.ly/3PuAbuo

Gray Anatomy is a partnership with LMH Health and the Lawrence Public Library. Don’t miss your chance to learn, ask questions, and take charge of your health.

You don’t get colon cancer during your 30s or 40s, right? Wrong.
Rising rates of colorectal cancer among younger generations show otherwise.
