A simple seasonal self-care tip: warm sesame oil can become your best friend in Vata season. A little supply hack is to use a dropper or even a cotton ball with warm, good-quality sesame oil—it works beautifully for Abhyanga, foot massage, or gentle ear oiling to calm and nourish the nervous system.
This time of year, Vata tends to spike: more dryness, scattered thinking, disrupted sleep, and anxiety. These warm, oil-based home treatments are some of the most effective ways to counter those qualities and bring in a sense of steadiness, grounding, and ease.
On Dec 7, we’ll go deeper into these practices in our upcoming session, Ayurveda Self-Care for Vata Season.
In this hands-on session, you’ll learn treatments that:
✅ Soothe the nervous system
✅ Reduce anxiety
✅ Support healthy aging
✅ Ground you when life feels scattered
You'll practice Abhyanga, foot marma therapy, hand massage, Karna Purna, and Basti—tools you can use any time of year.
Perfect for your own self-care OR supporting clients through modern life's challenges.
December 7, 5-7pm PST with Taran Collis, C-IAYT, AWC
