Jose before immigrating to the United States worked as a government administrator in public services to improve citizens lives . Living in U.S.A. he worked as a machine operator at Ark-Les Corp, where he dedicated more than forty years of service. He will be remembered for his generous heart and the joy he found in caring for others, especially when it came to feeding those around him when extended family or company visited their home. Jose took great pride in making sure everyone was comfortable and cared for, often tidying up without hesitation and always making sure no one left hungry. He loved simple pleasures, including his cherished visits to Old Country Buffet, enjoying his favorite meal, Portuguese octopus, and having sweets and coffee at the table or under the grape vine with his family.
Above all, Jose was a loving and devoted husband, endlessly supportive and helpful to his beloved wife. His greatest pride and happiness, however, was his role as a Father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He adored his grandchildren, showering them with generosity, love, and countless memories. From trips to McDonald’s, Portuguese feasts, and Chuck E. Cheese, to summer days at Ames Pond, visits to local parks, feeding ducks, and treasured travels to Portugal and Canada. He was always there, happily babysitting his grandchildren or great-grandchildren so their parents could work or enjoy a night out. Jose also took great pride in his appearance, known for being exceptionally neat and particular about his looks.
