Prior to retiring, Maria worked as a machine operator for both Anderson Little and South Bay Coat Co. She was an incredible crocheter, crocheting many blankets and just about anything that could be thought of. She was also a great seamstress, creating so many things for family & friends. Maria loved to travel, and took pride in always being well dressed.

Margaret will be remembered as a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law, grandmother and friend whose life was rooted in faith, family, and hard work. She worked for Essex Manufacturing for many years and later at Quaker Fabric, building a strong work ethic that carried through every part of her life. A longtime parishioner and dedicated volunteer, she gave generously of her time, including helping prepare the traditional malasadas for church feasts.

Maria was a devoted Catholic and lifelong parishioner of St. Michael’s Church and cherished the joys of church feasts and processions. She was a loving matriarch whose life was defined by faith, family, and craft. Prior to retirement, she worked as a seamstress for Santoro MFG for over 35 years, skillfully creating garments and even making her own clothes. Maria expressed her love most vividly through her cooking and baking. Her sweetbread and homemade treats were gifts she delighted in sharing with family and friends.
