Robert’s career began as a long-haul truck driver, which later led him to start his own independent trucking business known as R.J. Rezendes Trucking. He then went on to drive for K.R. Rezendes Inc. construction company for over 20 years before retiring. Robert was also a member of the Teamsters Union Local 251 for more than 20 years.

Maria was a devoted Catholic and lifelong parishioner of St. Michael’s Church and cherished the joys of church feasts and processions. She was a loving matriarch whose life was defined by faith, family, and craft. Prior to retirement, she worked as a seamstress for Santoro MFG for over 35 years, skillfully creating garments and even making her own clothes. Maria expressed her love most vividly through her cooking and baking. Her sweetbread and homemade treats were gifts she delighted in sharing with family and friends. Strong-willed, independent, and outspoken, she cherished her family above all, finding joy in the company of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Donna was an avid fan of Barry Manilow and took great joy in attending several of his concerts over the years. She loved singing along to his music, whether it was on the radio, videos, or CDs. Donna also enjoyed watching musicals and soap operas, and could often be found happily working on word puzzles. She had a love for dining out, with lobster being a particular favorite. She especially enjoyed attending dances and outings with friends from her Day Habilitation program, as well as spending time at home with her housemates. Donna also had a love for animals and enjoyed visiting zoos. In her younger years, she had several dogs in her life, each of whom held a special place in her heart.

Donna’s family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to all of the staff of People Incorporated who cared for her with gentleness and love for many years. For the past several years Donna received excellent in-home care and oversight from the medical and social work staff of Beacon Hospice. Their support of both Donna and her family is greatly appreciated.

For 33 years, he was a devoted husband, cherishing every moment spent with his family, his children, grandchildren and his friends. He was a man who brought joy wherever he went, known affectionately to many as “Magic Mike” for the wonder and laughter he shared through his magic shows, pony rides, and petting zoos filled with beloved animals. With a warm smile and a sense of humor that could light up any room, he had a gift for making others feel at ease. Dependable and selfless, he was always just a phone call away, ready to help anyone in their time of need. He took great pride in his work as a union construction worker, known by many as one of the best asphalt raker around, and carried a strong work ethic throughout his life. He also found joy in yard work and farm projects, embracing the satisfaction of hard work. Arriving in America in 1977 and becoming an American citizen in September 2016 was a proud milestone in his life. Above all, he was deeply devoted to caring for his family, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, dedication, and love that will be remembered by all who knew him.
