You did it! Thanks to your incredible generosity, we unlocked the full $5,000 Wonder match. This means we made a greater impact for families across Massachusetts facing food insecurity.

Ready to take your impact further? From now until 11:59 p.m. on Thursday, April 30th, when you secure 3 donations of $5 or more to your Walk fundraiser, you’ll earn a limited-edition 2026 Walk for Hunger tote bag. Carry it around anywhere — it's roomy enough to fit all your belongings. Bonus: it has a double-sided print.

Each donation brings immediate relief to families who are struggling to put food on the table and moves the needle on hunger in a lasting way.

Share your page and invite friends and family to donate. And if you don’t already have a page, you can easily sign up for one at https://give.projectbread.org/event/the-walk-for-hunger-2026/e685078

Team RPD Bicycle Law Breakdown-Massachusetts Edition

Alright Rochester… the weather’s getting nicer, bikes are coming out, and that means it’s time for a quick (and slightly entertaining) crash course-not literally-on the rules of the road.

Under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 85 Section 11B, bicycles are considered vehicles. That means if you’re riding, you’re not just vibing-you’re driving (legally speaking).

Here’s what you need to know

🚦Same Rules as Cars (Yes, really)

Stop at red lights and stop signs

Ride with traffic, not against it

Use proper hand signals when turning

Translation: If you wouldn’t do it in your car… don’t do it on your bike.

Where You Can Ride

You can ride on most public roads

You can use bike lanes when available...we don't have any!

Pedestrians always have the right of way-don’t be “that guy.”

Lights at Night

White light in the front

Red light or reflector in the rear

If we can’t see you… that’s a problem for everyone.

🪖 Helmet Rule (for the kiddos)

Required for riders 16 and under

Adults… strongly encouraged unless you enjoy testing gravity head-first.

Hands-Free… Means Hands-Free

At least one hand must be on the handlebars at all times

No texting, no carrying a Dunkin’ tray like a circus act.

🚗 Motorists-You’re in This Too

Give cyclists at least 4 feet when passing(It’s the law)

No crowding, no squeezing, no “I’ll just sneak by”

Share the road-it’s not just a slogan, it’s the law.

Bottom Line from Team RPD:

We want everyone enjoying the weather, getting exercise, and making it home safe. Whether you’re on two wheels or four… respect the rules, respect each other.

Friendly reminder from Team RPD:

🚔 Sun’s out… bikes are out… and so are we.

🚦 THIS IS A PLACE FOR YOUR VOICE 🚦

There are moments when someone believes in you enough to say,
“Your ideas matter. Let’s build something together.”
This is one of those moments.

A series of Traffic Garden pop‑ups is being created, and young people are helping design what it becomes. This is a chance to share your ideas, learn new skills, and be part of something you can see, touch, and feel proud of.
This is about:

-Growing the skills you already have.
-Learning by doing: design, planning, teamwork, leadership
-Working alongside adults who support you and want to see you
succeed
-Creating something that could become a permanent Traffic
Garden in the future

You don’t need to be perfect.
You don’t need to know all the answers.
You just need to show up as yourself.

What stays with you:
💛 Confidence in your voice
💛 Experience you can carry into school, jobs, or future goals
💛 The feeling of saying, “I helped make that happen.”
