❤️🤍💙 What an incredible honor. At Bourne Manor Extended Care Facility, we held a Veteran Pinning Ceremony recognizing more than 30 brave men and women who served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Coast Guard, and Merchant Marines.

Each pin placed today represented more than service — it represented courage, sacrifice, and love of country.

This event touched us deeply. For many of us, including those who come from long lines of family who have served, sacrificed, and even been lost, honoring our Veterans isn’t just part of our work - it’s personal and sacred.

A heartfelt thank-you to Kerry MacDonald, our incredible Patient Care Advocate, for her time, compassion, and leadership in bringing this ceremony to life - and to the dedicated team at Bourne Manor, who care for our Veterans and community with such excellence every day.

We also extend our gratitude to Sandwich Boy Scout Troop 47 for joining us to honor our Veterans.

Through Continuum Hospice and the We Honor Veterans program, we are privileged to provide compassionate, dignified care that recognizes each Veteran’s story and service. ❤️🤍💙

On Veterans’ Day, we pause to honor the courage, sacrifice, and service of our nation’s heroes. We are especially humbled to care for Veterans in hospice, offering programs designed to recognize their unique needs and honor their service, including pinning ceremonies, Quilt of Valor presentations, and Veteran-to-Veteran volunteer visits. It’s Nurse Practitioner Week, and we are proud to recognize the vital role our NPs play in providing expert, compassionate care. Nurse Practitioners bring advanced clinical knowledge and a dedication to helping patients live with dignity and comfort. In hospice, their care extends beyond managing symptoms; they support families, offer guidance in decision making, and provide reassurance during uncertain times.
