🚨 FALL RIVER TRAVEL BAN REMAINS IN EFFECT 🚨

The travel ban in Fall River remains in effect at this time. While crews have made progress, many side streets remain narrow and compromised, making travel unsafe.

The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) has sent additional resources and equipment to assist with our snow removal operations. That equipment is already in the city and actively working to push back and relocate snow, which is critical to reopening roadways safely.

We are asking residents to please stay home for just one more day and avoid all non-essential travel. Keeping vehicles off the roads allows crews to work efficiently and helps speed up recovery citywide. We know everyone is eager to grab their Dunkin’, but we can’t have a repeat of what happened this morning, vehicles stopping and parking in the middle of Pleasant Street created significant gridlock and made an already difficult situation worse.

Our plan is to reassess conditions tomorrow after snow removal operations continue throughout the night, with the goal of lifting the travel ban once it is safe to do so.

Lifeline patients are requested to bring their locked boxes in on Saturday, January 24, 2026, for take-home dosing for Sunday, January 25, and Monday, January 26. Lifeline will be open on Sunday, January 25, from 5:45 AM to 8:00 AM for patients who did not pick up their take-home doses.
