UPDATE :

To Our Valued Patients:

We hope you and your family have been able to stay safe and healthy through all that surrounds the COVID-19 crisis. Massachusetts has been hit extremely hard by this pandemic, so we will continue to follow the government regulations, as well as the guidelines set forth by the American Dental Association (ADA), the Massachusetts Dental Society (MDS) and Centers of Disease Control (CDC) regarding how to move forward with dental care and how to best serve your dental needs.

I personally wanted to get some information out to let you all know that myself and my staff continue to take this situation extremely seriously and we will make all of our decisions moving forward with your health and well-being as our highest priority. Although I have been taking emergency calls throughout this closure and have been able to help patients with extreme emergencies in an effort to keep them out of the local emergency rooms, there have been many patients rescheduled that were already at risk of infection at the time of and even prior to our closure. We have to start tending to the dental needs of our patients that have been put on hold for the last 7 weeks. As it pertains to dental health, little problems can become big problems as time progresses and we want to be able to prioritize and treat all of the emergency calls that have accumulated over the time the office has been closed. This means patients with scheduled appointments for procedures which the ADA and MDS have deemed as “elective procedures” may continue to be rescheduled to treat patients who are at risk of serious dental infection. We also will be holding off on dental hygiene (cleanings) for the first couple of weeks after we return because these are also considered elective procedures at this time. We hope you can understand an appreciate your patience in this matter.

As of right now, our office will begin what we are calling a “soft re-opening” on Monday May 18, 2020. This will be for doctors and patients with emergency needs only. We will have many new systems in place for doing business, as we will only have a limited number of staff and patients allowed in the office at the same time. We will be updating your medical history and doing medical screenings by phone prior to your appointment and we will no longer be using our waiting room. These are just some of the many physical changes we will put into place.

We are also in the process of investing in many other pieces of medical equipment with the health of our staff and patients in mind. These include air purifying systems which include hepa filters and UV light to remove pathogens from the air in every operatory, as well as specialized high speed suction devices to limit the amount of aerosols produced during dental procedures.

We will continue to stay up to date with all recommendations put forth by our governing organizations to keep you safe. We want each and every patient to feel comfortable returning to our office when the time comes and will continue to work tirelessly to provide a safe environment for dental treatment.
