Sensory Lovin' Momma A comforting source of handmade sensory and weighted products created just for you! I also want to make your product individualized for you.

I am a mom of a precious, loving, and beautiful daughter who has Sensory Processing Disorder (SPD) and Pervasive developmental disorder not otherwise specified (PDD-NOS). I am a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA/L) and used to work in a local school district. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Rehabilitative Science at Concordia University Wisconsin- Mequon. I am now currently working towards earning my Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy at Concordia University Wisconsin-Mequon. The summer of 2011 my husband and I made the decision for me stay home with our daughter. I wanted to do something to give back to all the people who have helped our daughter along with her journey. I decided to start Sensory Lovin' Momma because I know first hand how expensive Sensory and Weighted Products can be. I also know how important these items can be to a child in helping them be successful in their daily lives. My goal is to provide quality products at a reasonable cost to families, schools and daycare providers. Each item produced is a collaboration between my family and yours. Please contact me with your preferences and we will make it happen. I can also email you pictures of my current fabric selection. Plastic pellets are used for the weight, allowing an item to be machine washable.

***Sensory Tip of the Week!***
Every 15 minutes make it a habit to MOVE...
do something...anything...except for sitting on your rear end. The brain NEEDS vestibular and proprioceptive input to focus, attend, process, and think clearly. Movement also supports overall self-regulation, including mood, emotions, and behavior. This is an essential sensory strategy for all humans, of all ages.
