I only went to one day of the ASHA Convention this year… but WOW, that one day changed me. ✨
I showed up wearing my CEO + leader hat, determined to focus only on business + growth. (Yes, my therapist brain was screaming every time I walked past a clinical session 😅… FOMO is real.)
But this season of my life is different.
I’m learning to build beyond the 1:1 room.
I’m dreaming bigger.
I’m taking up space as a business owner who happens to be a therapist.
And that shift has been powerful. 🔥
What I learned in just a few hours:
💡 A million-dollar, mission-driven practice is possible.
💡 Multidisciplinary care = meaningful change for families.
💡 I don’t need all the answers when I’m surrounded by brilliant people.
💡 Politics impacts EVERYTHING we do as SLPs—staying informed matters and be part of the action plan is critical.
💡 Community + connection are everything. Group therapy deserves more love.
But honestly?
The people made the day. 🧡
✨ Meeting online friends in person
✨ Reconnecting with familiar faces
✨ Feeling optimistic about partnerships + collaborations
✨ Walking away grateful for this new season I’m stepping into
And a special shoutout to my ride-or-die — for the laughs, the support, the dreaming, the planning, the Spanglish, the energy, the transformation. Couldn’t do this without you. 🤍 .lulu
Pa’lante siempre. 🧡
PS: Still kicking myself for not saying hi to one of my SLP role models… I want to be like you when I grow up 🤦🏽♀️😂
