Our Story & Healing Philosophy

Established in 2018 by Lysa Phan, Healing Tao Acupuncture is an expanded version of the original family practice - Thien Sanh China Herbs & Acupuncture. Founded by Lysa’s late father Le Phan, Thien Sanh China Herbs & Acupuncture had helped over a hundred thousand patients get well, since 1992. Le Phan’s legacy of healing his patients with kindness and compassion lives on in our hearts, and has been continued by Lysa at the Healing Tao Acupuncture center (located in 6540 Arlington Blvd, Suite B, Falls Church, VA 22042).

Lysa is a third generation Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner with over 19 years of experience. She has a degree in Health Education and Master's Degree in Acupuncture. Lysa has also completed many conventional and unconventional continuing education courses including BodyTalk, Transformational Breathing, German New Medicine, RBTI, NLP, Scalp Acupuncture, Auricular Detoxification and many more. She is Nationally Board Certified (NCCAOM), with license to practice in Maryland and Virginia.

Lysa has a very simple, yet effective treatment style of healing. She believes that by understanding the theories of Eastern medicine and having respect for scientific concepts of Western medicine, a patient can learn how to balance the body and achieve optimal health. Lysa also believes the body has an innate intelligence that always strives towards balance and wellness (homeostasis). When the practitioner and patient both work together to support the body, healing will occur, and symptoms will naturally subside. She has successfully treated many cases that "cannot be treated" or "cannot find the reason."

Lysa is proud and grateful to be able to carry on her family’s healing tradition for many more decades.
