As the calendar turns, it’s worth pausing.

What are you carrying into this month? What feels heavy, unresolved, or quietly asking for your attention? And what might be ready to be set down?

Reflection creates space for clarity, compassion, and choice.

You don’t have to have all the answers, just the willingness to listen to your own story. 📖

Say hello to Anna Graham, LMSW, co-owner of New Story Behavioral Health and a steady, compassionate presence in our community. 📖

Anna brings over 20 years of experience walking alongside families and children, particularly in the world of adoption and attachment. Her work today with individuals, couples, and groups is deeply shaped by attachment theory, family systems, and nervous system awareness, honoring both pain and resilience as they unfold in relationship.

At the heart of Anna’s work is a belief we share at New Story: healing and hope grow through connection, and none of us are meant to navigate our stories alone. She helps shape the kind of space where courage is met with care and transformation is supported every step of the way.

Mental health care shouldn’t feel like guesswork, or like you’re being reduced to a checklist.

At New Story, psychiatric evaluations are about understanding the whole picture: your symptoms, your story, your nervous system, and the context of your life.

These conversations help us uncover what’s really going on beneath the surface so we can build a care plan that’s thoughtful, personalized, and collaborative.

For some, that includes medication. For others, it’s simply clarity and language that makes sense of what you’ve been carrying. Either way, our goal is the same: informed care that supports long-term healing, not quick fixes.

You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin.

We’ll help you take the next step, together. 💙

There’s something powerful that happens when stories are shared in the presence of attentive, compassionate others.

Our Confessional Community® Intensives invite you into a small-group experience where honesty, connection, and reflection are central. Guided by New Story staff and taught by Curt Thompson, MD, these intensives draw from neuroscience, spiritual formation, and lived experience to explore shame, vulnerability, and the healing power of being known.

Over the course of three days, participants engage in teaching, shared story, and structured reflection—creating space to notice what emerges in the body, the emotions, and the relationships in the room.

Individual therapy offers space to slow down, reflect, and make sense of what’s happening beneath the surface.

Through thoughtful conversation and intentional care, therapy can help you gain clarity around your thoughts and emotions so change feels possible, not overwhelming. It’s also a place to rediscover confidence, reconnect with your values, and move toward a life that feels more aligned and meaningful.

Even if you’ve tried therapy before, the right space and relationship can make all the difference. Growth happens when you feel truly known, supported, and free to explore your story at your own pace.
