Please join us in welcoming Caroline Parsley, MA! 📖

Caroline holds a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Richmont Graduate University and works with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, grief and loss, developmental and religious trauma, and relational challenges.

Her therapeutic approach blends Attachment Theory, Psychodynamic and Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and EMDR, allowing clients to move gently toward deeper healing and integration.

Caroline believes that our deepest wounds were meant to heal in the presence of empathy and connection, and that meaningful growth often emerges in the places we least expect it. She counts it a privilege to walk alongside others as they rediscover freedom, joy, and connection in their stories. 💙

Caroline sees clients in person in Virginia and virtually (check for availability).

We’re continuing to introduce some of the new faces joining the New Story team — and we’re thrilled to welcome Hallie Moon, QMHP-T! 💙

Hallie is a clinical intern completing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Concordia University–Irvine. Grounded in person-centered and psychodynamic approaches, she walks alongside clients with warmth, curiosity, and deep respect for the resilience within each person.

Before pursuing counseling, Hallie spent over eight years as a Registered Dietitian, working with individuals in hospital and private practice settings. That experience continues to shape her heart for holistic healing.

Hallie believes wholeness grows through connection—to ourselves, to God, and to others—and she’s honored to help clients move toward that kind of transformation.

New Story Behavioral Health is growing!

We’re delighted to introduce Hannah Hale, LPC, to the team! 💙

Hannah brings warmth, depth, and a deeply relational approach to her work with clients. Rooted in modalities like Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR, she helps individuals move beyond talk therapy to experience healing that integrates both mind and body.

Her passion lies in walking alongside others as they navigate connection, grief, shame, and the impact of trauma—creating a space where each person feels truly seen, known, and safe to heal.

Hannah offers in-person sessions in Virginia and virtual sessions in Virginia and North Carolina.

We’re so grateful to have her join our team and the meaningful work happening here at New Story. 📖

Being known changes everything. 📖

This December, join us in Falls Church, VA, for a Confessional Community® Intensive — a three-day experience designed to help you step into deeper connection, courage, and healing.

In small groups of 7 to 9, guided by New Story staff, you’ll share your story, listen to others, and witness the transforming power of vulnerability and presence.

Large group sessions with Curt Thompson, MD will weave together insights on shame, connection, and spiritual formation from his books and The Being Known Podcast. Reflection time will allow space for those lessons to settle into your story.

Apply by October 30th: https://www.newstorybehavioralhealth.com/intensives-training/ccintensive/

If you know of New Story Behavioral Health, you already know Courtney Morrison, LCSW. Not only a gifted therapist, but also a guide, teacher, and leader. 💙

Courtney has a way of holding space that invites people to imagine what could be, reflect on what has been, and step courageously into the story waiting to be written. Her work is shaped by Interpersonal Neurobiology and attachment-based practice, but what most notice first is her presence: curious, compassionate, and steady.

This year, she’s leading the Confessional Community Training Program® alongside Curt Thompson, MD, equipping caregivers to guide others into the same kind of transformative spaces she’s been cultivating for years.
