Feeling safe enough to truly be yourself can be life-changing.

At New Story Behavioral Health, we strive to create a space where you feel heard, supported, and understood without judgment.

Stories like Evan’s remind us why compassionate care matters. When you feel safe to open up, real healing can begin.

Every relationship has a story. Sometimes that story includes stress, misunderstandings, or difficult seasons, but it doesn’t have to stay that way.

We help families and partners navigate challenges, strengthen communication, and build healthier ways to support one another. Whether you’re facing conflict, relationship struggles, or shifting dynamics, you don’t have to face it alone.

Heal together. Grow closer.

There is something powerful about being deeply listened to.

At New Story, that posture shapes not only how we care for clients, but how we develop as clinicians.

Curt Thompson, MD is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. A graduate of Wright State University School of Medicine, with residency training at Temple University Hospital, Curt brings decades of clinical wisdom into the heart of our team.

While many know Curt for his writing and teaching, his role at New Story also includes active involvement in staff development and formation. He invests in our clinicians — mentoring, asking meaningful questions, and helping us pay attention to what’s happening beneath the surface in our work and in ourselves.

His influence shapes the culture of how we practice: steady, thoughtful, curious, and deeply human.

At New Story, healing begins with being seen and heard, and that commitment starts within our team.

A new month always brings something with it.

New hopes. Lingering grief. Unfinished conversations. Quiet expectations.

What are you carrying? And what might it look like to set something down?

Growth doesn’t always mean adding more. Sometimes it means releasing what no longer serves your story. 💙

Intensive therapy can be especially powerful when you’re ready to engage deeply.

Because sessions are more focused and condensed, they allow space to work through core patterns, attachment wounds, and complex dynamics without long gaps between conversations. For some, that continuity accelerates clarity and momentum.

At New Story, we help you discern what format best supports your growth—whether that’s weekly sessions, intensives, or a combination of both.

The question isn’t which is “better.” It’s which best serves your story right now. 📖

Your story is not something to fix, it’s something to understand.

Faith-informed therapy and personal development coaching invite you to explore the places where your spiritual life, relationships, longings, and struggles intersect. We integrate Christian spiritual formation with interpersonal neurobiology and psychotherapy to help you move toward deeper wholeness.

Healing doesn’t begin with striving harder. It begins with being known.

If you’re ready to engage your story with curiosity, courage, and compassion, we’re here to walk with you. 📖

Most of us don’t actually want advice.
We want change.

Real change. The kind that lasts.

Confessional Community™ invites you into a space where shame loses its grip, vulnerability is met with steadiness, and your story is woven into something larger than yourself.

If you’ve been circling the same patterns and wondering why they don’t shift, this may be the deeper work you’ve been looking for.

Not every meaningful conversation happens in an office.

Some of the most important work we do starts here — in friendship, in laughter, in shared stories.

Healing doesn’t grow in isolation. It grows in connection.

And at New Story, community is who we are. 💙

One of the biggest myths about couples therapy is that you only come when things are falling apart.

At New Story, we see that couples show up for many reasons:
- to strengthen connection
- to slow down reactive patterns
- to understand each other more deeply
- to tend to a relationship that matters

You don’t have to be in crisis to want something healthier, more secure, or more life-giving.

Sometimes therapy isn’t about fixing what’s broken, but nurturing what you want to grow. 💙

Lately we’ve been catching ourselves daydreaming about longer days, open windows, and the kind of warmth that invites us to slow down and breathe a little deeper. ☀️

As the seasons begin to shift, it’s a gentle reminder that change is coming, sometimes quietly, sometimes all at once, and that new rhythms have a way of finding us when we least expect them.

What are you most looking forward to as warmer days approach?

There’s something powerful about being known, not analyzed, not rushed, not fixed, but truly seen in community. 📖

Our Spring Confessional Community™ Intensive invites you into a small, guided group experience where stories are shared, emotions are named, and connection unfolds in real time.

Alongside Curt Thompson, MD, and New Story staff, participants explore the intersections of neuroscience, vulnerability, faith, and relational healing.

Applications are open until February 28th.

If your story feels ready to be held with care, we’d love to welcome you. 💙
