Brig Gen Gwendolyn Foster, Chief of the Air Force Nurse Corps, and CMSgt Valerie Lee, 4N Career Field Manager, visited our incredible medical teams across the WESTPAC region! During their tour of Kadena, Yokota, and Misawa Air Bases, they saw firsthand how our Total Nursing Service teams are ensuring readiness and delivering top-tier patient care. From observing the vital clinical operations that fortify our members and the high-fidelity Aeromedical Evacuation training, to witnessing innovative TCCC programs that integrate joint forces and international partners - the visit was a deep dive into our operations. This trip was crucial for leadership to hear directly from our medics on the ground, and show their commitment to tackling challenges and ensuring our teams have what they need to succeed. A huge thank you to our medics for their dedication to keeping our forces healthy and ready!
The trip ended with Indo-Pacific Military Health Exchange (IPMHE), where Japan Self-Defense Force & INDOPACOM brought together representatives from partner militaries & international organizations across the Indo-Pacific to facilitate interoperability & collaboration.
