Inova Animal Assisted Care The Inova Animal Assisted Care (AAC) program was established to complement the patient's recovery

The Inova Animal Assisted Care Program Provides:
• Animal Assisted Activities: Allows a patient to visit with a dog while in the hospital
• Animal Assisted Therapy: Works with the healthcare team and patient to provides tasks for the patient and the dog to accomplish together to meet care goals
• Personal Assistance Therapy: Introduces persons with disabilities to the benefits of service animals and the agencies that provide them
• Own Pet Visitation: Provides long-term or terminally-ill patients with an opportunity to visit with their own dogs
