Proud to be a Mt Holyoke alumna!

A hearty congratulations to Chloé Zhao, Green Griffin '05, on her historic win at the Academy Awards last night! Zhao was awarded BEST DIRECTOR for her feature Nomadland, making her the first woman of color and second woman to be awarded the honor. Nomadland also was awarded BEST PICTURE.

In her acceptance speech Zhao stated: “This is for anyone who has the faith and the courage to hold onto the goodness in themselves and hold onto to the goodness in each other, no matter how difficult it is to do that."
