I put a shirt on that said "Antrenor" on me for the first time in 2007, I was 19 then. This little gym in the downtown of my city hired me to show people how to use the machines. And that was a life-changing decision.

Almost two decades later, a university degree, I have trained so many people, read so many books, took all the certifications that you can take. I trained athletes trough the highest highs and the lowest lows and only a responsible and good trainer really knows how hard it is to sit on the sideline and put a fighter in a ring and then hope you did everything right by them.

I can't be more thankful for my career so far and I am proud that I have passed on my knowledge to a very small handful of people that are still leading the charge back in Romania. Daniel and Florin are the perfect duo to keep leading the way over there.

The gray hair, the wrinkles, they weren't for nothing, they are the mark of everything that was ever done. Tournaments, Championships, Superfights, we've done them all.

Just a little self reflection and gratitude today! ❤️ 🙏🏻

Scott has been working hard for over a year. He came in with many issues. The highlight is about his upper body strength progression.

There are several injuries described in the MRI on the last slide, including: a torn and retracted biceps tendon, several rotator cuff muscles injuries, a SLAP tear, and other.

These injuries would keep most people from being able to use their arms. Scott never gave up, be like Scott.

This is a long and overdue post. This is the evolution of one of our athletes. MRI showed a paralabral cyst pressing on the nerv. Our team worked diligently with the athlete's doctor, who is a part of the wonderful team at in Bucharest. Dr. Pantu and Alex have been in direct communication, and together, they managed to restore not only function and size back but also helped the athlete to be able to have two more fights while keeping the cyst from relapsing.

"After a quad tendon tear in 2022, I gained 20 pounds. My body did not react kindly to this change: out of breath, sleep was negatively effected, my mood was up and down. I tried to lose the weight myself, but to no avail.
I knew that Alex had trained other people at my Brazilian Jiu Jitsu gym, so I asked him for help. He immediately made time for me and honestly shared what his plan was: start to focus on eating with regards to calories in and calories out (CICO). He also paired the CICO with a basic, adapted workout schedule tailored to my needs as a 60 year old athlete with OA in my hip.
6 moths later I am down 20 pounds and feel the best I have felt in years. I wouldn't have been able to do it without Alex and a new path to wellness. My old ways of starving myself, binging and working out with no attention to function was not working with regards to health and performance.
I needed someone to guide me gently through a life change.
If I can lose 20 pounds with Alex, you can too.
I will be able to take what Alex has given me in the last 6 months and use it moving forward. This is performance longevity."

"Transformarea incredibilă a lui Bogdan! În doar 4 luni, componentul lotului României de Kempo a reușit să își transforme complet corpul sub îndrumarea lui Serban Florin de la Apex Performance. De la o greutate de 83 de kilograme, Bogdan a reușit să slăbească și să ajungă la doar 70 de kilograme, făcând față cu brio provocărilor pregătirii fizice intense pentru campionatul mondial de kempo din Portugalia. În plus, Bogdan a reușit să își mărească forța, pregătindu-se pentru a face față adversarilor cu mai multă încredere și determinare. I started working with Alex a few months ago, with the goal of losing body fat and increasing my strength overall. I’ve been on workout programs before and wouldn’t consider myself a couch potato, but I find it hard to maintain consistency in training and continue to see results.

Razvan and I are are still on a journey, but this is how far we've come. 6.7 feet tall, 293lbs guy calls you that he needs to lose weight for his competitions, voila! 235lbs of Lean and Mean Grappling Machine!! The journey continues -

"I have been following Apex and Alex since 2019. In May I have finally decided to approach him and ask him if he can help me with my weight issue. I am an active BJJ practitioner and I was struggling to make weight for a comp. 115kg (253lb) was the weight I needed to reach. The only problem I had is that I was 133kg (293lbs), meaning that I had to lose 17kg (37lbs). Alex told me that I doen't matter what I do, I would need to fix my diet and stay on top of my Macros. "I don't care what you eat, as long as you don't go above the number of Macros and Calories that I have set" that what Alex told me. "But if you eat fast food and one meal it's going to take all of your Macros, that's your only meal for the day, so what do you choose? One fast food meal or 3 home made meals?". I decided to pick the second option and always tried to be on point with the Macros he had set. It was hard the first two weeks, but after that I got used to it. On top of that, Alex made a custom work out just for me in order to keep as much strenght as I could for BJJ. The workouts were tailor made in such a way, that I have also managed to fix some shoulder issues that I've had (Alex knew when I have joined APEX about my health issues). The rehab went great. Also helpened me rehab while I was recovering from a severe leg injury that stopped me from training properly for almost 2 months. Long story short, it's October 2021 (One year and 4 months since I have started) and in all this time with an injury, APEX (Alex) helped me lose 26.4kg (58lbs) and kept me in the best shape ever, me currently being 106.6kg (235lbs). I am extremely happy with the decision I've made to join APEX and couldn't recommend them enough. 100kg here I come 😉"
