✨️Today we'd like to highlight Meghan during Occupational Therapist Month✨️
"My name is Meghan Loch. I am a 2022 graduate of the University of Mary, where I earned my Doctorate degree. For the past four years, I have had the privilege of serving as an Inpatient Occupational Therapist at PAM Rehab. The most rewarding aspect of my career is assisting patients in reclaiming their independence; there is nothing quite like the experience of seeing a patient regain the function necessary to participate fully in their daily lives once again. When I am away from the hospital, my time is centered around my family—specifically my husband, Brandon, our son, Judah, and our dog, Moose. My favorite place to recharge is at our lake cabin, enjoying the outdoors with a fresh cup of coffee."

Thank you Meghan for all you do for our patients!💙

✨️Today we'd like to highlight Lauren during National Occupational Therapy month! ✨️
"Hi, I’m Lauren! I’ve been an Occupational Therapist for 12 years, with most of my career spent in the inpatient rehabilitation setting. I especially enjoy working with the neurological population and watching patients make progress and achieve their goals! I grew up in North Dakota and made my way back after a 7-year adventure in Texas to be closer to family. When I’m not at work, you can usually find me spending time with my two Labradors, Mack and Ollie, who keep life entertaining. I also enjoy traveling, reading, hiking, and making the most of time with family and friends."

Thank you Lauren, for all that you do!💙

In April, we recognize Stress Awareness Month. Stress can cause serious mental and physical health issues, including symptoms of anxiety and physical symptoms such as fatigue or headaches. According to the American Psychological Association, feelings of loneliness and isolation can be significant sources of stress.*

Take time this month to re-prioritize connection and diving deeper into the values, hobbies, and activities that bring you joy.

On the road to recovery, emotional well-being is just as important as physical well-being!

Meet Your OT: Nicole Knoll!
My Professional Passion:
For me, the best part of being an OT is the blend of creativity and trust. It is an honor to be invited into my patients' lives and to help them navigate the path toward their personal goals. Whether it’s a small step or a major milestone, seeing those achievements firsthand is incredibly rewarding.

My Specialties & Interests:
I am a Certified Lymphedema Therapist and a PORi Certified Oncology Rehabilitation Therapist. While I love all aspects of OT; my heart beats fastest for Stroke Rehab, Vision Rehab, and Lymphedema Management.

Life Outside the Clinic:
When I’m not brainstorming creative ways to help my patients, you can find me:
- Being the #1 Fan: Cheering (very) loudly at my children’s activities!
- Staying Active: Diving for a volleyball or traveling to new places.
- Connecting: Spending quality time with family and friends or volunteering at my church and in our community.
- Getting Competitive: I’m always down for a good card game or a marathon board game night!

It’s a privilege to work alongside such a dedicated team and to play a role in my patients' progress as they reclaim their health and independence!

According to the CDC, about 12% of Americans have a diabetes diagnosis, while 27.6% live with undiagnosed diabetes. What’s more – 115.2 million Americans live with prediabetes, which means they are at risk of developing diabetes.

Fortunately, there are lifestyle factors you can control to lower your risk of a diabetes diagnosis or manage symptoms if you currently live with it.

April is Defeat Diabetes Month, and PAM Health is here to help with therapy programs that can improve function and address complications related to diabetes, such as wounds and heart, vascular, kidney, and nerve issues. Learn more: https://nuvi.me/oogi8z
