Postherpetic Trigeminal Neuralgia Case
A 60-year-old with a recent shingles infection experienced electric-like pain along the left side of her face, jaw, and tongue. Thermal imaging revealed areas of increased heat in the left facial, oral, and neck regions, which may reflect inflammation and nerve involvement. Postherpetic neuralgia can develop after shingles when sensory nerves are affected, often causing persistent facial pain triggered by everyday activities.

While thermal imaging does not diagnose disease, it may provide helpful physiological insight to support clinical care. Aaron recently joined the team @ Core Health in September after finishing his schooling and Division 1 hockey career with AIC and Long Island University!
