Happy Halloween season!
No tricks here! Just wanted to share something I read recently...
In 'Never Get Sick Again' by Healthy Dose, Karen Asp says that women have a stronger immune system than men do, according to 'Proceedings of The National Academy of Sciences, but we all average about three colds a year. The good news is that you can probably beat those odds by upping your natural defenses in the following ways:
1) Take a gut-friendly probiotic daily, which can influence your body's production of killer T-cells, the crucial white blood cells that make us much less vulnerable to infections and disease. Eating fermented foods and decreasing sugars and carbohydrates will also greatly help your gut health.
2) Raise your vitamin D levels and keep it at about 20. Sunlight is the best source of Vit D but try to never get sunburned! Eating fish is a good source of vitamin D and taking Vit D3 supplements.
3) Get regular massages to relax your nervous system and slow down the production of cortisol while increasing dopamine and serotonin production.
