Meet Samantha Wasem 👋 Assistant Manager | South Fargo

Sam loves getting to know the people who walk through our doors — whether they’re patients starting therapy or members jumping into their fitness routine. Building connections and making people feel at home in our facility is one of her favorite parts of her role.

What makes Sam’s perspective unique is that she understands the Total Balance experience from multiple angles. As both an active gym member and a physical therapy patient herself, she’s able to relate to questions, ease concerns and help guide people through their journey with confidence.

She’s especially passionate about seeing people continue their progress even after therapy ends — watching patients transition into the gym and keep building strength long-term. One thing she wishes more people knew? Physical therapy isn’t just reactive — it can be proactive too. Seeing a PT before injury or surgery often leads to better outcomes and smoother recoveries.

Outside of work, Sam loves spending time with her husband and their 7-month-old son, and you’ll definitely find her on a boat at the lake in the summer.

If you’re over 40 and you’ve never had back pain… we have questions.😅

Meet Gabe Zierden 👋 Clinic Manager | Moorhead

Gabe is often the first friendly face you’ll meet when you walk into our Moorhead location. He loves meeting new people every day and helping them get set up for success on their fitness and wellness journeys, whether that means connecting them with the right physical therapist or simply making sure they feel welcomed and heard.

One thing Gabe is especially passionate about is making sure everyone feels like they matter — because great care starts with listening first.

He’s also a big advocate for staying active and the benefits it brings for all individuals. Inactivity is one of the leading contributors to chronic disease, and Gabe’s message is simple: no matter what activity you choose, just get moving.

Outside of work, Gabe enjoys coaching wrestling, hunting, fishing, watching sports and going on long walks with his wife and dog.
