We’d like to share a heartfelt story of resilience about one of the amazing children we serve, Hallie. ❤️

Hallie was born healthy on January 27, 2023, but just four days later she coded at home. Thanks to quick CPR from first responders, she survived, and her family’s world changed overnight. She was diagnosed with heart failure and spent ten months in the hospital before receiving a lifesaving heart transplant.

Her recovery has been filled with challenges: infusions, biopsies, aortic ballooning, seizures, and learning to eat through a g-tube. When Hallie came to Pediatric Partners for therapy, she was just over one year old but developmentally at a one-month-old level. Our first goal was simply helping her tolerate tummy time after spending nearly her entire first year on her back.

That first year of PT was hard- she cried through almost every session, but slowly, strength, trust, and curiosity began to grow. Two years later, Hallie is walking, exploring confidently, playing with her big brother, and now loving life as a big sister.

Her story is a powerful reminder of resilience and growth, and what’s possible with dedicated therapy and a whole lot of love. Her PT Daphyne Lovejoy, says that "Watching Hallie grow into a spirited toddler has been one of the greatest privileges."

This Veterans Day, we’re proud to honor Jonathan Willemin, a U.S. Army veteran who served six years—including a year-long deployment to Iraq. His work in water purification (think In the Army Now with Pauly Shore!) and combat lifesaver school sparked a lifelong passion for medicine that guides his career today.

From patrolling where the Tigris and Euphrates meet to walking through the ancient ruins of Babylon, Johnathan describes his service as a surreal journey through history.

He credits the Army with teaching him adaptability and perseverance noting that “The mission is never linear—embrace the change and keep moving forward.”

His reminder for all of us this Veterans Day:
“We should learn to treat every human with such grace, because there is a reason for the way they present themselves or behave and not knowing that reason should not make us think differently of them that we would a veteran with the same issues.”

Thank you, Jonathan, for your service and your continued impact!

Pediatric Partners

Devoted to Child Development

At Pediatric Partners, we believe your child deserves the best pediatric therapy and care. We believe the best care includes receiving the most comprehensive and advanced services available from compassionate pediatric professionals in a safe and natural environment. Our patients have the option to receive in-home outpatient therapy services in Fargo and Bismarck, North Dakota, or therapy services at one of our state-of-the art pediatric facilities.

We are proud to have over 140 qualified and skilled pediatric professionals in speech therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, neuropsychology, psychology, mental health services and behavior services. Our practice illustrates how our approach to pediatric therapy is a team effort that involves the child, parents, caregivers, qualified pediatric therapists, and other related professionals to create an all-inclusive wellness plan for your child.

As a leading expert in pediatrics, we have been trusted by more parents to help their children than any other pediatric therapy practice in North Dakota – reaching further for the children in the communities we serve.
