Square One is a shared-use kitchen and business incubator in Fargo offering a rental kitchen, cooking classes and food start up education.

Let's start something! Square One offers commercial kitchens that are rented out by the hour. This provides start up businesses the opportunity to follow their passion without the major expenses of starting their own commercial kitchen. The kitchens at Square One are perfect for caterers, bakers, canning, packaging, etc. The kitchens are also available for public use on weekdays during regular business hours. They are perfect for when you are making food for large events - graduation open houses, parties, etc, but you would love more kitchen space and storage. Square One offers hourly rates for public use. Large commercial ovens and dish washing equipment will increase your efficiency drastically and you don't have to make a mess at your home! We also offer numerous cooking and baking classes! These include cooking and baking basics, advanced courses, cooking with your kids, team building classes, private parties for showers, bachelorette parties, birthdays and more! I had the absolute pleasure of working alongside this talented, passionate woman in our fall 2025 Food Business Lab cohort.

Roynesha is launching FLOtastic Food and her life-altering birria soon!

We crunched numbers, cooked, documented, tweaked, finalized recipes and learned about the numerous, overwhelming aspects of running a food business so she can hit the ground running. Her food is amazing and now she knows her business inside and out to best prepare her. It's truly a beautiful thing to see!

Planning a wedding in 2026 or 2027? Tartan Rose Bakery is offering sample boxes for wedding desserts - it's a great way to try their amazing desserts!

I will be offering wedding dessert table sample boxes the second week of January for pick up at Square One Rental Kitchen & Events (Monday through Friday, 1/5/26-1/9/26, between 7am and 2pm and by appointment ONLY)! Please see the website for the options: www.tartanrosebakery.com

Each box includes up to four samples of two dessert types only (such as cookies, bars, cheesecake bites, cupcakes, etc.) for $40.00, the cost of which will go toward your final cost if you book.

We mixed, scooped and enjoyed lovely company on Saturday as we baked nearly 900 holiday goodies for our annual Cookie Shuffle class. 🍪

Preheat Pastry Shop brought the maximum holiday spirit with their Kitchen Sink cookie and I have recently learned that butter mints are too good and that I must steer clear of them whenever possible. Their quite frankly dangerous

Oh, hey. It’s me, Casey Steele. I co-own Square One with my husband, Matt (pictured above with yours truly during various haircut stages of my life). I run the day to day operations and manage Square One. What is Square One all about, you ask? Good question!

Square One is a shared-use commercial kitchen that is rented out by the hour to local food start-ups. This provides these new (or already established) businesses the opportunity to follow their passion without the major expenses of starting their own commercial kitchen. This way you can get your business rolling, establish good practices, consistency, develop a following and work out the kinks without all the major risk associated with taking on a retail location.

Square One is a great starting point (hence the name...)! The kitchens at Square One are perfect for caterers, bakers, canning, packaging, etc.

I love to work with the different businesses and help them get on the right track and would love to chat with you about your food venture concept. Given that we are ALL about food, we also offer numerous cooking and baking classes!
