With March being Social Work Month, I’ve been reflecting on the amazing things that the therapists at Empower has done. Here are just a FEW of the stats from 2025:

- We partnered with Fargo Public Schools and went into 13 schools to provide onsite therapy to students who have barriers to receive therapy services.
- Sat with over 280 individuals and families, through heavy moments and celebrating successes.
- Had around 3500 hours of sessions
- Advocated and collaborated with countless providers.
- Went through a ridiculous amount of slime, beads, and glitter to find creative ways of connecting with clients.
- Provided over 200 hours of therapy for free with our graduate interns.

Most importantly, my amazing team has shared many tears and laughs with each other by practicing daily gratitude and self care while acknowledging what we do is hard.

To my Empower team, I am grateful for everything you do. You are making a difference in our community every day.

To help reframe the miserable cold weather… we made it through the darkest part of the year!

From mid-November to late January, the days can feel extra heavy…

less light, more stress, and a whole lot of “just getting through it.”

But you’re here. You kept going. And that matters.

So if no one’s told you lately: I’m proud of you. Keep taking it one day at a time because brighter days are already on the way.

Y'all! I want to (re)introduce you to the one and only- Corina.
Some of you may know her, as she was our intern last year. But we are sooo privileged to have Corina work with us! Corina spends most of her days in the Fargo Public Schools providing much needed therapy services to students.

She is one of the kindest, empathetic people I know. And, she is a ball of fun! If you see her around, make sure you say Hi!

Ok social media family!!! The Empower Counseling Pumpkin contest is in full swing! Two of our staff teamed up for each pumpkin, found a design, and created some reallllllly amazing creations! (I think we outdid ourselves this year)

What’s a better way to spend a day, that at Ten Seven Acres?!? We got to walk some Alpacas, get some kisses/cuddles, and enjoy the fresh air. Exactly what Empower staff needed after a wild October!

If you get a chance to check out this farm, do it!!! The way Jessie and Dirk love their animals will met your heart.
