Spring brings longer days, more outdoor play, and a lot more energy for kids 🌿☀️ ; but it also comes with a shift in what their bodies are exposed to.
This time of year, we often start seeing a rise in sneezing, congestion, itchy eyes, and nighttime coughing. What looks like a simple “seasonal thing” can actually start affecting sleep, focus in school, and overall comfort if it’s not addressed early.
With kids spending more time outside, exposure to pollen, grass, dust, and even insect bites increases. For some children, this can trigger allergies or worsen existing conditions like asthma. And because symptoms can overlap with common colds, it’s easy to miss what’s actually going on.
Another subtle change? Sleep. Longer daylight hours can shift routines, and even small disruptions in sleep can show up as irritability, low energy, or difficulty concentrating during the day. 😴
Spring is a great time to reset and check in - not just react when symptoms get worse. Reviewing your child’s asthma plan, understanding allergy triggers, and making small adjustments to nutrition and hydration can make the season much easier to navigate.
At Vitality, pediatric visits focus on the full picture ; symptoms, environment, routines, and prevention - so your child can enjoy the season without constant interruptions. 🩺
📅 Schedule your child’s spring wellness visit and stay ahead of seasonal issues before they escalate.
