KidMed services are available at the Union General Rural Health Clinic to keep your little ones happy, healthy, and thriving. From check-ups to care when they need it most, our team is dedicated to supporting your family every step of the way.

Our KidMed services are available for Medicaid-eligible children ages 0–21 and include:

• Child wellness exams
• Immunizations
• Developmental screenings
• Nutrition assessments
• Dental assessments
• Vision and hearing exams
• Blood and urine checks
• Health education for children and families

Our dedicated KidMed nurses, Callie Nutt, RN, BSN, and Kourtney Kimmerling, LPN, are here to partner with you in keeping your child healthy at every stage. Because every child deserves care that’s made just for them.

Monday–Wednesday: 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
Thursday–Friday: 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Union General Hospital is proud to support the Union Parish Library and their upcoming Special Olympics event!

We were honored to donate a game that will help bring fun, activity, and smiles to the amazing athletes participating this year. This special event will take place on April 24 at 10:00 AM at the Boys & Girls Club in Farmerville and will include elementary special needs students from across Union Parish.

Events like this truly reflect the heart of our community, and we are grateful for the opportunity to be a small part of something so meaningful.

We had a fantastic time at the It's a Girl Thing meeting last night! Brittany Smith, RD, led a hands-on nutrition workshop where the girls learned to prepare their own snacks. The session gave the girls an opportunity to safely practice using kitchen tools such as peelers and knives, while also building confidence in making healthy food choices.
