The Tree of Life in our lobby is a meaningful tribute to the people who have touched our lives in special ways.

Each leaf on the tree represents a loved one remembered, a life honored, or someone who has made a lasting impact. Through this tribute, families and friends can celebrate those who mean so much to them while also supporting the continued care of our community.

Leaves may be purchased for $100 in memory or in honor of someone special, and all proceeds support the Union General Foundation, helping strengthen the care and services we provide for our community.

If you would like to add a leaf to the Tree of Life, please call 318-368-7099 for more information.

Union General Hospital was honored to attend the opening reception for “The Union Parish Agricultural Experience” exhibit at the Union Museum of History and Art. The exhibit, presented in cooperation with the Union Parish High School FFA Program, highlights the rich agricultural heritage that has helped shape our parish and community.

It was a wonderful evening celebrating the hard work of local students, educators, and community partners who continue to preserve and share the story of agriculture in Union Parish. Union General Hospital is proud to support organizations and programs that honor our local history and invest in the next generation. 🌾

Today we celebrate Registered Dietitian Nutritionist Day and recognize the incredible work of Brittany Smith, our Registered Dietitian who also serves as the Dietary Director for our kitchen at Union General Hospital.

Through nutrition counseling and Medical Nutrition Therapy, she helps patients better manage conditions like diabetes and high blood sugar while supporting their overall health. Behind the scenes, she also leads our dietary department to ensure our patients receive nutritious, well-balanced meals during their stay.

Her dedication to both patient care and our nutrition services plays an important role in helping our community stay healthy. We are grateful for the knowledge, compassion, and leadership she brings to Union General Hospital every day.

Union General Hospital was honored to support the Louisiana Cancer Foundation’s Fashion Fusion this weekend. It was a beautiful evening dedicated to supporting those affected by cancer and raising funds that help local patients receive the care and resources they need.

Jenna Hill, Community Outreach and Marketing Assistant, and Amelia Rowley, It's a Girl Thing Member proudly walked the runway representing the hospital during the event.

Events like this are a powerful reminder of what a community can accomplish when people come together for a shared cause. We are grateful to the Cancer Foundation League for their dedication and to everyone who helps make this important work possible.

Our Case Manager, Anna Langley (right), attended The Essentials of Case Management conference hosted by the Louisiana Hospital Association. Anna is pictured with conference speaker Marie Stinebuck, MBA, MSN, ACM, Chief Operations Officer, Phoenix Medical Management.

The session covered the evolving role of hospital case managers, including Medicare regulations, utilization review, discharge planning, and care coordination strategies. The conference also highlighted ways case management can extend beyond the hospital setting into outpatient and post-acute care to help create smoother transitions for patients.

We’re proud of Anna for continuing to expand her knowledge and strengthen the care we provide to our patients and community!
