STARTING FEBRUARY 24th! Youth and Young adults, REGISTER NOW!

We’re excited to offer another Voices Rising series led by Alyssa Mathieu. This spring, we’ll be working alongside youth and young adults ages 14–26 to explore strategies and best practices for navigating adulthood.

From February through June, participants will engage with Empower the Learner (ETL)—a digital profile designed to help youth and young adults share their story, identify strengths, and reflect on their goals for adulthood.

Built in Canva, ETL provides a creative and accessible template that allows participants to create a profile about themselves, in their own voice and style.

Webinar: Speech and Communication Tools in AT4Maine

Date: March 18, 2026
Time: 1:00 - 2:00pm ET

Program Description
Communication is a fundamental right, but some people face barriers to using speech. Some people are non-verbal, and others have health conditions that make speaking difficult.

Join us for a webinar on an overview of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). We will explore how these tools support or replace speech. The tools range from simple picture boards to high-tech applications. We will introduce you to our device lending library, AT4Maine, where you can borrow from nearly 100 speech-related items for free.

Presenter: Melissa Bliss, MS OTR/L

On Thursday once a month, we invite parents, caregivers, guardians, and supportive professionals working with adults with disabilities to join our virtual support group. This group will provide a safe and compassionate space to share experiences, foster mutual respect, focus on self-care, and provide useful resources. We encourage everyone that has an adult with disabilities in their life and has questions or needs support to join us. We do have planned topics for the group to discuss including holiday stress, isolation, guilt and connection to name a few. We will also provide time for open sharing as well.

On February 26th, join us for the first session of our 2026 Conversations That Matter speaker series, featuring Dr. Ross Greene, author and creator of the Collaborative & Proactive Solutions approach.

This training is for:
✅ Parents navigating power struggles at home
✅ Educators managing behavior in the classroom
✅ Youth-serving professionals building trust
✅ Clinicians advocating for skill-based approaches

Because resilience doesn't grow from toughening kids up. It grows when young people feel seen, heard, valued, and know they add value.

This isn't about fixing kids. It's about building resilience by showing young people they matter—especially when things are hard.
