This practice helps to stretch out the legs, open the back, flex the hips, relax the pelvic muscles, efficient use of the breath, and stretch the shoulders and arms, making all of the above a full body stretch. This also helps in better blood circulation, easing the heavy legs and upper body.
Get into the pose, count slowly to 5, repeat 2 or 3 times, especially if you have back tightness, it really helps.

As we end the 2nd week of 2026, and resolutions are falling by the wayside, take some quiet time to reflect on why.
Why am I stuck, why am I still unhappy, still feel trapped, still lonely, still unfulfilled? Still "whatever" keeps reoccurring in your life?
The quote, "Nothing ever leaves until it teaches us what we need to know," by Pema Chödrön, means that persistent problems, painful emotions, or challenging situations (the "nothing") keep recurring in our lives until we fully learn the underlying lesson, develop self-awareness, and change our internal response to them, allowing us to grow rather than just running from the experience. It's a call to face struggles with presence and compassion to integrate the wisdom needed to break recurring patterns.
Its work, but so worth it.
