Recently, we had the privilege of spending time in the community hosting two patient outreach events focused on brain health, education, and research awareness at local senior centers.

Patient Liaison Tamsin Andres and Patient Liaison Services Manager Denise Morgott, alongside Jennifer Trotter from Global Alzheimer's Platform Foundation, led thoughtful, approachable conversations designed to answer questions, share information, and listen to the needs of community members.

📍 Farmington Senior Center
More than 60 engaged community members joined the discussion, with many expressing interest in continued conversations around memory health and screening opportunities.

📍 Novi Senior Center
Community members gathered for an open and engaging discussion, resulting in meaningful dialogue around brain health.

What stood out most was the level of participation, curiosity, and openness from everyone who attended. We’re grateful to the senior centers, partners, and community members who welcomed us and made these events so impactful.

We are so thankful to have participated in the Michigan Parkinson Foundation Hope in Every Step Symposium on Thursday, April 9th. It was wonderful connecting with over 600 new and familiar faces throughout the day. Such an incredible turnout—and we’re truly grateful to be part of this amazing, supportive community.

On March 10, our Quest team had a great morning connecting with the community at the West Bloomfield Health Fair. We enjoyed meaningful conversations with neighbors who stopped by to learn more about research and health—and even had a local physician ask us to follow up about referrals.

Caregivers provide more than support and compassion. In clinical research, they play a critical role by helping patients navigate throughout the research journey. On Caregiver Appreciation Day, we recognize and thank caregivers for the time, advocacy, and dedication they give—not only to their loved ones, but to advancing medical research and improving care for future patients. Alcanza is honored to be recognized with the 2025 Impact Award from the Healthcare Private Equity Association (HCPEA).

Presented by HCPEA, this award highlights organizations that are driving meaningful progress in healthcare. Owned by member firm Martis Capital, the Alcanza Clinical Research Site Network accelerates the development of new therapies by reducing barriers to clinical research and participation for all.

Carlos E. Orantes, CEO of Alcanza, shares how a focus on the end goal motivates the organization’s team culture: “The biggest success is when we learn of a drug that we had a hand in helping with development make it to the market and ultimately be in the hands of the patient.”
