Orthopedic Radiology Technician needed to work full-time in our two-provider orthopedic surgery practice.
Work schedule is Monday - Friday.
To be successful in this role, you should be self-motivated, have excellent communication and computer skills and provide quality, compassionate patient care.
Previous orthopedic experience is required, specifically in taking orthopedic radiographs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Checking electronic daily schedule for when patients need x-rays and calling them back from waiting room
Utilize all radiographic equipment to perform orthopedic x-rays on new, post-op, and recheck patients
Adjusts immobilization devices to obtain optimum views of specified area of body requested by physician
Determines exposure factors on basis of height, weight, portion of body involved, and degree of pe*******on required
Adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors and produce images of proper detail, density, and accuracy
Navigating the EMR (Electronic Medical Records) system and electronically ordering the x-rays obtained
Assist front desk staff by answering phones, scheduling appointments, checking patients in and out
Assist medical assistants with rooming patients, taking histories, vital signs
Administrative responsibilities as delegated
Develop a daily priority list that allows all scheduled procedures to be completed and makes time for emergencies as well
Monitor all radiographic supplies and submit purchasing requests to maintain proper supply levels
Analyze and report x-ray results to our physician team
Qualifications and Skills:
Registered with the ARRT as a registered Radiologic Technologist preferred or equivalent training
Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) eClinicalworks and Epic
Experience with EvoHealth Mini PACs system
Experience with orthopedic radiographic examinations
Must be able to lift or move 50 pounds without assistance
Friendly demeanor and excellent patient care skills
Full Time 40 hours per week
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday from 7:45 am to 5 pm
Tuesday from 7:15 am to 5 pm
Fridays from 7:15 am to 3 pm
No weekends or holidays
End time varies depending on physician schedule
