This week, as we celebrate National Hospice and Palliative Care Week, we’re reminded of the heart of what we do - caring for patients and families wherever they call home. 🏠

This week is part of National Care at Home Month, honoring all those who bring comfort, dignity, and compassion directly into the homes of the people who need it most.

You never know what (or who!) you’ll see in our hospice offices. Today, it was Kiki the Therapy Goat, who was all tuckered out after visiting patients across our Indiana communities. 💙

Pet therapy plays a special role in hospice care. Animals like Kiki bring comfort, lower anxiety, and spark moments of joy and connection - especially for patients who may be experiencing isolation or loss of independence.

Whether it’s a soft bleat, a gentle nuzzle, or a shared smile between her handler and the patients, these visits remind us that hospice care is about living fully.

⚾ A hospice wish came true at the ballpark tonight! Thanks to the amazing generosity of the Lehigh Valley IronPigs, sweet Robert got to enjoy a night under the lights with his family and so many of our Pennsylvania hospice team - from our Administrator to nurses to our chaplain - all there to cheer him on. He even took the mound to throw out the first pitch!

Moments like these remind us that hospice care is about so much more than the final innings — it’s about making memories together. 💙

🎡✨ Friday Funday at the Fair! ✨🎡

Today our Pennsylvania Hospice Team had the joy of partnering with Alexandria Manor for a carnival-style day filled with games, laughter, and plenty of fun. Our team brought the cotton candy, and even a bunny for the petting zoo. The highlight? Our very own Area Sales Manager, Drew Kessler, braved the dunk tank! 💦👏

While hospice care often carries heavy moments, we’re grateful for opportunities like this to connect with our communities, bring smiles, and create joyful memories together. ❤️

Recently, our Indiana Hospice team had the honor of helping fulfill a special wish for one of our patients who loved Corvettes. With the help of the Circle City Corvette Club he was surprised with one last ride in a bright red Corvette, just like the one he used to own. 🏎❤️

What made it even more meaningful was having his wife, son, daughter, and granddaughter right there beside him, sharing in the joy of the moment. One of our wonderful volunteers captured it all in photos so the family will always have these memories to cherish. 📸✨

Moments like this remind us that hospice is about so much more than the end of life. It’s about bringing families and communities together, celebrating what brings joy, and creating memories that last forever. 💞

We are so grateful to the Circle City Corvette Club and our wonderful Indiana volunteers for helping make this wish come true.

Ever wonder what a music therapist does in hospice? 🎶🎵🎶

Just watch the foot tapping. Listen to that maraca going. And the unseen way a familiar song softens the room.

Even when words are hard to find, music still speaks. It calms, connects, and brings comfort in ways nothing else can.

We’ve seen music therapy reduce anxiety, ease pain, and bring families together … often with just a single song.

Sometimes, the most meaningful moments aren’t spoken at all.

We had the absolute honor of being part of Miss Irene's 100th birthday! 🎉Thanks to the outpouring of support from her community (over 100 birthday cards!) Happy Father’s Day weekend from all of us at The Care Team!

This weekend we’re celebrating the amazing dads in our lives - including many of our own Care Team fathers. 💙

We also know that for some, this weekend brings a different kind of emotion. It may be the first Father’s Day without someone you love, or one of many spent missing them. Our hearts are with you.

One of the most meaningful parts of home health and hospice is being able to give families the space to just be together. To take off the caregiver hat for a little while and focus on what matters most—being present with the people you love.
