Books are the Healing Touch practitioners great friends. Darlene shares her review with our community. Enjoy!
Written by a neurologist (Medius), and a neuropsychologist (Hanson), the authors explore the relationship between neurobiology and Buddhist traditions. The book discusses how practicing mindfulness, meditation, compassion toward self and others, setting intentions while letting go of outcomes, self-awareness, and loving-kindness can decrease stress hormones and enhance feelings of peace and well-being. The book is accessible, enjoyable, and gives many practical applications to bring more happiness, love, and self-awareness to your life. I recommend this book to Healing Touch students, practitioners, and clients.
