We want to send a special shout out to our friends from the Knights of Columbus. Mr. Mike Ward stopped by today to deliver two brand new 24" wheelchairs. You will see Mike below with our smiling LIFE Center Executive Director, Pauline Niehaus and Director of Independent Living and Assistant Executive Director, Aaron Luna. These wheelchair will probably do a lot of miles.🙂🙂🙂🙂

Our Story

In 1997, the LIFE Center (formally named L.I.F.E., Inc.) for Independent Living opened its doors with the goal of serving seniors as well as individuals with disabilities, regardless their age, in the Greater Parkland area of southeast Missouri.

“There’s no place like home,” is the mantra of the LIFE Center for Independent Living. At the Life Center, we are all about providing empowerment. We supply options.

Our greatest resource…our staff. Each member of our team is hand-picked with varied backgrounds to produce a unique product…exceptional, heart-felt support and advocacy. Over 51% of our governing board, management, and staff is comprised of individuals with disabilities which springs from the persuasion that people with disabilities understand how best to meet the needs of others with disabilities. This factor also creates a blend of sensitivity and understanding in the entire team.

The bottom line…we care about YOU!
