🌟 What is IUI (Intrauterine Insemination)?🌟

At the Center for Advanced Reproductive Services (CARS), we offer IUI as a highly effective fertility treatment option. IUI involves concentrating the most motile s***m and placing it directly into the uterus. This improves the chances of fertilization in the fallopian tube, which allows pregnancy to occur.

IUI can be a helpful solution for:
đź’ś Same-sex couples who require donor s***m
đź’ś Couples with lower s***m concentration or motility
đź’ś Couples with unexplained infertility, especially when combined with oral medication

Is IUI right for you? Come speak with one of our board-certified Reproductive Endocrinologists to find out.

Dr. Maya Barsky and the CARS team are so excited to now be accepting patients at our new Danbury location, as well as at our existing offices in Farmington, Hartford, Branford, Middlebury, and Springfield, MA.

🤍 PCOS comes with a lot of questions and plenty of misconceptions.

Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) affects many aspects of reproductive health, yet misinformation can make the journey feel even more overwhelming. The truth is, PCOS looks different for everyone, and having it does not mean family-building is out of reach.

At the Center for Advanced Reproductive Services (CARS), Dr. Reeva Makhijani is helping patients better understand what PCOS really means and what it doesn’t:

â›” Myth: PCOS only affects women who are overweight.
✔️ Fact: While many women with PCOS struggle with weight, PCOS is more complicated than just your weight.

â›” Myth: You can't get pregnant if you have PCOS.
✔️ Fact: Many women can face challenges with fertility, but with the right care, women with PCOS can conceive and have a baby. Reach out to your CARS care team to get started.

â›” Myth: PCOS is rare.
✔️ Fact: PCOS is exceptionally common, impacting up to 1 in 8 women of any age or point in their reproductive life.

💬 What’s one thing you’ve heard about PCOS that you’ve always wondered was true? Let us know!

Here’s what that plan may include:
🧪 Blood work to evaluate hormone levels
đź©» Imaging to assess reproductive anatomy
🔬 Semen analysis to evaluate male fertility factors

Once results are in, you and your physician can discuss which treatment options best fit your needs and timeline. This first step helps us truly get to know you so we can better support you on the path to growing your family.
