Our Occupational Therapy Assistant students had such a fun and meaningful hands-on learning experience today! 🐣🦽

They participated in an Easter egg hunt while navigating in wheelchairs, giving them a firsthand perspective on mobility challenges their future clients may face. This activity not only brought lots of laughter and teamwork, but also built empathy, problem-solving skills, and a deeper understanding of accessibility.

Learning by doing is what makes this program so impactful, we’re proud of our students for fully engaging and supporting one another! 💛

Today our OTAP students partnered with the Dental Hygiene program to provide hands-on instruction in safe and effective patient transfers. 🦷➡️🦽
They practiced proper body mechanics, communication strategies, and techniques to ensure both patient and provider safety.

🎁 OTAP Adapted Toy Project 2025 🎄
Our Occupational Therapy Assistant Program is once again creating custom adapted toys for children in our community.
These toys are modified to support motor skills, accessibility, and independent play, because every child deserves the joy of play.
