Powerful. Protected. Transformation.
Obsidian Butterfly Massage is locally owned and operated by Jenavieve Jobe, LMT. Jenavieve has always been interested and intrigued by alternative and homeopathic healing methods ever since she was a child. When she was 12 she received the first level of Reiki, and embarked on her journey to become the healer she is today. On August 9th, 2015 she graduated from Southwest School of Massage and Esthetics in Durango, Colorado. On June 2nd, 2016 she received her license for Massage Therapy. In September of 2016 she started working inside Studio 907 Salon in Farmington, New Mexico. She is an incredibly intuitive healer, that works with the bodies natural signals, rhythms, and energies to bring her clients to a state of total bliss. She is always striving to make everyone’s experience tailored and exceptional to each client. Jenavieve enjoys learning new methods of healing and aspires to expand her horizons in both Massage and Energy Work.
“ Obsidian is a stone that has been used in ancient civilizations for ceremonial purposes for centuries. It is believed that this stone brought powerful protection, grounding and transformation. The creation of Obsidian is very symbolic as well. Obsidian is formed when lava cools quickly, and becomes this volcanic glass. Much like our body projects, (as I like to call them) that form, Obsidian is created under extreme heat and pressure and out comes this beautiful, delicate, transformation. Obsidian has always been my favorite stone, as yes it is black, but the flecks of glass can reflect so many different colors, much like a ravens wing. The Butterfly has always been one of my favorite creatures. The Butterfly, like Obsidian, goes through these incredible transformations. The metamorphosis of the butterfly can teach us that change insures growth, and releasing the old worries, memories, patterns, energies and baggage will result in an ascension of body, mind and spirit. Powerful. Protected. Transformation.”
