The University of Connecticut, Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disabilities (LEND) program is an interdisciplinary leadership training program aimed at improving the health of infants, children and adolescents who have, or are at risk for developing, neurodevelopmental and other related disabilities, with an emphasis on autism spectrum disorders.

On January 23, 2026, the LEND program hosted an event featuring Mary Beth Bruder, with participation from Oak Hill staff members Jacqueline Lorange, Michael Champlin, and Rose Haefs. The session also included a research overview and project discussion focused on identifying the benefits and challenges of multidisciplinary, interdisciplinary, and transdisciplinary teams, as well as key issues related to conducting research with individuals with IDD or ASD and their families.
