We do pretty well with April Fools Day shenanigans. Scissors, lotion, and tape in Jello, fake mice and snakes (oh my!), and (not pictured) the air horn under Justins office chair which elicited a yelp heard throughout the clinic. There is never a dull moment 😂

Having a great time at the job fair at Husson University today! Our clinic is closed today in order for us to be able to attend this event and meet graduating PT students. We brought a little of our competitive side with a basketball arcade game for a little basketball competition with the students.

We know that one of the difficulties prior to the sport season is getting a physical done for your athlete. We are thrilled to offer free student physicals this Wednesday, August 6 from 6-8. We are grateful to Dr. David Hyde and Dr. David Kearing for coming to help provide free student physicals at our clinic!

Justin and Kathryn went to D.C. earlier this month to meet with Maine legislators about bills impacting physical therapy and healthcare. We were able to continue the conversation with Jared Golden’s office and are grateful to Scott Dresser who works for the congressman here in Maine. He spends his time meeting with constituents like us so that we can share about issues impacting us Mainers in healthcare. Thank you for taking the time to visit with us and meet our staff!

Justin and Kathryn had an amazing opportunity this week to go to Washington D.C. with the American Physical Therapy Association. We represented Maine along with Matt Cary, who works at Andwell Home Health. We were able to meet with staff of all 4 of our Maine legislators, tell them about our clinic, and advocate for the incredible work that physical therapists do. We were able to discuss a variety of important topics including Medicare payment in healthcare, fall prevention for the elderly, and more ways to help support Mainers in leading healthy lives. We truly appreciate the time each staff member took to listen to our story and look forward to continuing the conversation in future.
