The next Walk With a Doc is this Sunday, February 15th at 2:00 PM at Kiwanis Park! The health topic this week will be about gut health and how to boost your digestive system. Join us for a brief talk followed by a walk around the park. This is event is FREE and all ages and activity levels are encouraged to come!

Come join us for our first walk of the year this Sunday, 1/18 at 2:00 in the Animas Valley Mall. We will meet just inside the entrance by Texas Roadhouse for a talk given by Student Doctor Ginger Johns. She will be discussing the benefits of yoga on the body and give some tips about how to incorporate yoga into your life! We will then do a brief warm up followed by a walk around the mall. Snacks and waters will be provided.

Walk With a Doc is a global organization started by a Cardiologist in Ohio. He knew the benefits that walking has on physical and mental health and encouraged his patients to meet him at a park every weekend to walk. This organization has since expanded to many cities all over the world with the mission to get community members active and help prevent disease.
The walks begin with a brief 5-7 minute talk given about some aspect of health given by a local healthcare provider. This is then followed by a warm up and a walk. Walk With a Doc is a great opportunity to get moving and engage with your community while learning and practicing healthy habits!

Join us for the next Walk with a Doc on December 21st at 2:00 in the Animas Valley mall! This walking program is FREE and open to people of all ages and activity levels. We meet on the third Sunday of every month to listen to a brief talk given by a local health care provider then walk together. Walk with a Doc provides a safe, fun, and educational way to get some steps in while meeting new people in the community.

This month, student doctor Tate Kelley will be giving a talk about winter exercise. Come learn new ways to stay active in the colder months and enjoy a walk through the Animas Valley mall! Meet inside the mall entrance by the Texas Roadhouse at 2:00. Snacks and waters will be provided!
