Thrive Counseling and Wellness is super excited to welcome the newest member to our team, Amanda Clark LPC!

Amanda is an LPC with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Liberty University. Amanda works with adults, teens, children, and families. She is currently working towards her play therapy certification and obtaining her Doctorate in Psychology. She enjoys helping people navigate emotional growth and life transitions. She will be offering sessions via Telehealth in Virginia.

She is taking new referrals, so feel free to reach out for more information!

Thrive Counseling and Wellness is happy to announce an upcoming mini workshop aimed at teaching self-compassion skills, and how to apply them using meditation and mindfulness.

Self-compassion is often confused with “selfishness”; instead it’s a way to build kindness towards ourselves which is proven to help build wellness, happiness, self-confidence, life satisfaction, and physical health. 💗

In this mini workshop you will get an intro into self-compassion, learn some basic meditation skills, and then a guided meditation will take place (lead by Lauren Showalter, LPC) focusing on integrating self-compassion through mindfulness.
