Valley Elementary students recently participated in hands-on Ag in the Classroom lessons focused on plants and how they grow.

Valley 2nd grade students learned about different kinds of plants and how they absorb water, exploring why water is essential for plant growth and health. Valley kindergarten and 1st grade students learned how flowers use their colors to “talk” to insects and animals, including how certain colors attract pollinators like bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds.

To wrap up the lessons, all students planted their own flowers, giving them a hands-on opportunity to apply what they learned and watch their plants grow.🌱
